About Us
YEA (Youth Explore Abroad) is an organization dedicated to providing American high school and college students with the opportunity to explore China through its unique local cities. Each city in China has its distinctive characteristics and a rich historical and cultural background. Through immersive, hands-on learning experiences, participants will delve deep into the cultural essence and social fabric that each city has to offer. This program allows students to gain a deeper understanding of the significance of an ancient civilization, exploring how the fusion of modernity and history makes these cities stand out, showcasing their unique charm and individuality.
YEA also is committed to fostering profound and meaningful connections between American and Chinese high school students. Through a series of impactful and immersive community service activities, we strive to create enduring bonds and mutual understanding between these young minds.
Our Mission
is to foster meaningful cross-cultural exchange between American and Chinese high school students through community service and social impact initiatives. By engaging in hands-on volunteer activities, environmental conservation projects, and humanitarian efforts, our goal is to cultivate a deeper understanding and respect for cultural diversity among our young participants. Our China Social Experience Program (CSEP)
CSEP offers American high school students an exceptional opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of Chinese culture, society, and daily life. This program allows students to step out of their comfort zones and engage with their Chinese counterparts in various settings, from educational workshops to cultural excursions. Through these experiences, students not only broaden their horizons but also develop a sense of global citizenship and empathy.
During the program, students engage in a diverse range of activities designed to foster cross-cultural communication and friendship.
